We’re excited to share that Lariba, its employees, and customers are joining the UIF family as the result of a merger.

UIF is a full-service, faith-based financing institution with a 20+ year history, headquartered in Michigan.

The ownership of both entities saw an opportunity to combine our talent, products, and customers to serve the Muslim community more efficiently and effectively.

The Lariba office in Whittier, California, will remain open and become an UIF office. The Lariba team will formally join UIF on April 1, 2026, coming together as one organization.

We’re so glad you asked! Lariba and UIF’s financing structures differ, our mission to serve the Muslim community with Riba-Free financing products is the same. By joining forces we can expand our reach, introduce more products and solutions and better serve our community.

UIF offers faith-based home, commercial, and vehicle financing, as well as halal profit-sharing savings programs through its partnership with University Bank. UIF continues to expand its faith-based offerings and is working on new products to bring to market very soon.

Home Finance Servicing Transfer FAQs

With the merger of Lariba and UIF, you are now officially a UIF customer.

UIF partners with its affiliate, Midwest Loan Services (“MLS”), to service all home finance accounts. MLS will manage:

·      Monthly Statements
·      Payment Processing
·      Customer Service Support
·      Online Account Access

The servicing transfer will occur on April 1, 2026.

It will take a few days for the accounts to be fully boarded into their servicing system after the transfer date.

No. All terms and conditions of your original financing agreement remain exactly the same. No hidden fees. And it will remain Riba-Free, as promised. You will, however, receive a new transaction number once the transfer is complete.

Yes. Midwest Loan Services will be contacting you within a few days of the servicing transfer.

You will receive a Welcome Letter in the mail and a welcome phone call.

This outreach is intended to welcome you, provide information about your servicing with Midwest Loan Services, and assist with any questions regarding your account or payment setup.

You will be able to set up your payments beginning April 3, 2026. This short delay allows your transaction to be fully boarded into the servicing system. Once the account is available, payments can be made through several options, including:

  • Online through the customer portal at www.midwestloanservices.com
  • By phone through the automated IVR system or with a representative by calling 844-871-8276.

No. Recurring or automatic payments will not transfer during the servicing transfer.

Once your account is available with Midwest Loan Services, you will need to provide authorization to set up a new recurring payment with them if you wish to continue automatic payments.

You can request an ACH Authorization Form from Midwest Loan Services once you have received your Welcome Letter or when you receive a welcome call. This form must be electronically completed and will be sent to you securely by the servicing team.

No. Federal mortgage servicing transfer guidelines provide a 60-day protection period following any transfer.

During this period, late fees will not be assessed, and no negative credit reporting will occur.

Beginning April 3, 2026, customers will be able to register their accounts through the customer servicing portal by visiting: www.midwestloanservices.com.

Customers are encouraged to enroll in e-statements through the customer servicing portal. This allows you to receive statements electronically, access documents faster, and helps reduce paper mail.

To register, you will need:

  • Last Name on the transaction
  • SSN or EIN/TIN
  • Property Zip Code
  • New Transaction Number (this will be provided in your Welcome Letter)

Once registered, you will be able to:

  • View account information
  • Make payments
  • Set up recurring payments
  • Access new statements and documents


Vehicle Finance Servicing Transfer FAQs

With the merger of Lariba and UIF, you are now officially a UIF customer.

UIF will service your vehicle finance account, including:

·      Monthly Statements
·      Payment Processing
·      Customer Service Support
·      Online Account Access

The servicing transfer will occur on April 1, 2026.

No. All terms and conditions of your original financing agreement remain exactly the same. No hidden fees. And it will remain Riba-Free, as promised. Your transaction number will also remain the same.

Yes. For now, there is no need for you to take any action regarding your vehicle financing transaction. We will continue to utilize our existing system and processes for now. This means, if you have already set up automatic, recurring payments this will remain the same, along with your transaction number and online account access.

You will see our name, address, contact information and logo change to UIF in the coming weeks.

Any future changes regarding the servicing of your vehicle financing will be communicated in advance.
