Whether you’re rewiring your new historic home, adding an extension to your current home, or simply modernizing your living space, this program helps you make improvements right after closing, without dipping into your savings.
How the Program Works
- Find Your Home
- Purchase a fixer-upper and roll the renovation costs into one halal contract.
- Plan Your Renovations
- Work with a licensed contractor of your choice to prepare bids and plans for the improvements. We’ll review and approve them before closing.
- Get Approved
- Eligible for: 1–2 unit primary residences and 1-unit second homes
- Credit Score Minimum: 660 credit score required
- Projects not eligible: Self-build, full tear-downs, and projects that make the home uninhabitable for more than 30 days.
- Close on Your Home
- Renovate in Stages
- Up to 5 draws (4 interim + 1 final) are available as work is completed.
- Any cost overruns beyond the contingency reserve are the buyer’s responsibility.
