Certified Training Program on AAOIFI Shari'ah Standards

Shariah Compliant Real Estate Financing in the USA

Welcome to our training program on Shariah Compliant Real Estate Financing in the USA. This training is designed to provide Imams with a comprehensive understanding of Shari’ah compliant models of Real Estate (RE) financing that currently exist in the US market.

During this training, Imams will be introduced to the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) Shari’ah Standards (SSs), which serve as the basis for understanding Shari’ah compliant models of Real Estate financing. The SSs cover a range of financing models, including cost-plus deferred sale, lease-to-own, construction financing, declining balance program, and Shari’ah (Musharakah) and Modern Corporations.

Imams will learn how to apply the Shari’ah Standards to different Real Estate financing models, including Murabahah, Ijarah, Istisna, Parallel Istisna’a, Diminishing Musharkah, and Sharikah (Musharakah) and Modern Corporations.

By the end of the training, Imams will have a clear understanding of the key principles and practices of Shari’ah-compliant Real Estate financing offered in the USA, and the AAOIFI standards which apply to them.

  • October 2023 – Michigan

Attendance Certificate by AAOIFI

Upon successfully completing this training, Imams will be presented with an attendance certificate by the AAOIFI, which will serve as a testament to their knowledge and skills in Shari’ah compliant RE financing and the related AAOIFI standards.
